It has been confirmed by the Minister of Gender Labour and Social Development, Frank Tumwebaze that Former Executive Director of the National Information Technology Authority (NITA-U) James Saka has passed on.
Details of his death have not yet been spilled, however skeptics claim that he might have died of COVID-19.
James Saka retired in August after working for approximately 10 years.
During his tenure at NITA, they operationalized National Backbone Infrastructure (NBI) with over 4,000 kilometres of fibre laid across 49 districts, with 480 government offices connected including seven major border points.
Rest in Peace, James Saka.
