Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) spokesperson and Kira Municipality Member of Parliament Ibrahim Ssemujju Nganda has been arrested this morning along Entebbe road.

Ssemujju was Tuesday morning trying to access FDC headquarters in Najjanankumbi, a facility that has been under Police siege since Monday evening.

“Ssemujju Nganda has been arrested and blocked from accessing FDC party headquarters,” a source in Najjanankumbi said.

FDC party headquarters in Najjanankumbi were cordoned off by Police and are still under siege. Police are yet to come out on why they have mounted roadblocks on the entrance and exit of all gates at the FDC premises.

Meanwhile, Police and Military have mounted roadblocks along Entebbe road and are arresting everyone wearing a red beret and any attire that is gazette for security forces.

Today, two strong opposition presidential aspirants; NUP’s Robert Kyagulanyi Bobi Wine and FDC’s Patrick Amuriat Oboi are due for nomination.

Whereas the Electoral Commission warned against processions, FDC insisted they will have a procession and require the same protection NRM supporters received from Police yesterday.
