President Yoweri Museveni is expected to head to Lira today, while Robert Kyagulanyi will be in Kitgum on the second day of the nationwide campaigns for the presidency, as scheduled by the Electoral Commission.

Patrick Amuriat from the Forum for Democratic Change is heading to Serere, Henry Tumukunde is expected in Rukungiri, Fred Mwesigye will be in Kampala and John Katumba will be expected in Kiryandongo.

Joseph Kabuleta is scheduled to be in Agago. Nancy Kalembe however save for the scheduling, told the media on Monday that she would start her campaign on Thursday following her grandmother’s death.

Mugisha Muntu and Nobert Mao on the other hand have no specified campaign schedules as per the guidance of the Electoral Commission.

This week kicks off the campaign trail for the 11 candidates, whose fate will be decided next year on January 14.

Three former army generals, including President Museveni, Mugisha Muntu and Henry Tumukunde, and eight other civilians were cleared last week, to compete for the country’s top seat.
