As Ugandans prepare for general elections, early next year, the Electoral Commission (EC) has released key polling figures.
According to the EC, more women registered to take part in the elections. The number of female voters stands at 52.21% compared 47.79% for men.
There are 17,658,527 voters who will exercise their rights to pick leaders of their choice from 34,344 polling stations country-wide.
The polling stations are spread in 146 districts, 312 counties, 353 constituencies, 10,595 parishes and 70,626 villages.
There are 2,184 Sub Counties/town councils/divisions.
As of today, over 80 candidates from five political parties have picked nominations to contest for presidency while the rest are coming on the independent ticket.
