State Minister for Finance Evelyn Anite expressed shock and anger after a journalist asked her to tell Ugandans about her secret trip to Mauritius recently.

This website reported a story about a concerned citizen who raised a red flag over an irregular trip taken minister Evelyn Anite to Mauritius in which the whistleblower says the minister’s secret travel was aimed at irregularly sealing a deal for a UTL strategic investor.

However, instead of responding to the question from the journalist, Anite who seemed angry shutdown the journalist and started talking of an alleged plot by the ‘mafia’ to leak her nudes. She also claimed there is a plot by the same ‘mafia’ to kill her.

Ms. Anite, who unsuccessfully sought for the removal of UTL administrator, also the Registrar General  Mr. Bemanya Twebaze, and later sought to force through an audit of UTL,  says meetings have been held at URSB offices and Kampala Club, discussing her.

“The plan by the mafias is to take Anite out of the picture. I might die but history will judge them. You know the mafias, they are the ones who have been blocking the audit. Do not live in denial,” she during a press conference.

“We shall chase the wrong people out of government and bring the right ones. How do you put public funds on private accounts? I am not seeking attention, these are facts,” the Minister said when challenged on her own motives.

In a desperate attempt for public sympathy Anite was also willing to go as far as to pulling tribal cards.

“I have been hearing some Ugandans saying, You girl from Koboko, what do you know? You are just a worker. This government belongs to Banyankole”. That is not what I heard from my president,” Minister Anite said.
