Kabaka Mutebi Distressed by Torture and Detention of Bobi Wine

The Kabaka Ronald Mutebi has expressed concern over the alleged torture and detention of one of his subjects and Kyadondo East MP Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine.

The Kabaka through the deputy Kaikkiro (premier) Ambassador Emmanuel Ssendawula, the Kabaka says what is happening to Kyagulanyi is not good and that he is not happy.

“The ongoing events are distressing to the King and he sent us to re-assure you of his support to your family,” Ambassador Ssendawula said while visiting Barbie Kyagulanyi at their home in Magere-Gayaza.

“We have come here to assure you that we are behind you through this challenging moment,” Ambassador Ssendawula added.

Meanwhile, Ssendawula announced that the Kabaka has selected a team led by Katikiro Charles Peter Mayiga to visit Bobi Wine next week.

Meanwhile, Bobi Wine’s associates are living under intense fear after Eddie Mutwe who is Bobi Wine’s bodyguard and Selector Devie, his official DJ went missing after they were on Friday arrested by unknown people.

Reports indicate that the two were arrested by unknown people on Friday evening but both the police and army have denied any knowledge of the arrest.

The Kyadondo East MP Robert Kyagulanyi, best known as Bobi Wine, was Thursday charged with treason by Gulu Magistrates Court, and then remanded to prison.

The legislator will remain on remand at Gulu Central Prison in northern Uganda until August 30.
