Jennifer Musisi has handed over her office which she occupied as Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) executive director this morning.
She did this in a ceremony where she officially handed over the office to Beti Olive Kamya, the Minister for Kampala.
Musisi occupied the office for the last seven years and eight months where she made tremendous changes and left the city in a much better place.
According to Musisi, she has handed over a better city than the one she found.
She has handed over the office before President Museveni who appointed approved of her resignation.
She handed over the seal of authority, 13 KCCA accounts worth Shs113.9 billion, 250 KCCA land titles, a list of staff members, ministerial reports, pending and on-going projects, financial year reports, reports of city festivals, among others items.
“I wish to assure everyone that KCCA operations have to progress normally. It’s not me who is going to carry out the operations. It’s the team Ms Musisi is leaving here,” Beti Kamya said.
She added that she will run the office until the president appoints someone to take up her office.
Musisi announced her resignation on 15th of October with intentions to exit today which she followed through with.
