Besigye preaches peace in hunger stricken Kanungu after  President Museveni’s Visit

Veteran politician and presidential hopeful Rtd Col Dr Kiiza Besigye was on Sunday afternoon in hunger stricken Kanungu district where he delivered a message of hope and reconciliation amongst the people of the area.
Besigye visited Kanungu barely a week after President Museveni’s visit faulted the government for failing to provide access to equal justice and fairness to Ugandans.
“We can’t accept to live in this kind of Environment without justice and fairness! Something is going wrong with this government and must change.” The tough speaking Besigye said.
He made the remarks while attending a thanksgiving ceremony of Kanungu based FDC Kingpin Philip Biteteirweho at Nyabihooko Catholic Church in Nyamigoye Kanyantoroogo.
The function which was presided over by renown business mogul and FDC politician  DR.James Musinguzi Garuga in a company of his wife Dr. Peace Musinguzi was meant to raise funds for completion of the Nyabihooko church and saw over 10Million raised in cash and pledges.
Philip Biteteirweho is one of the longest serving FDC cadres being the first Local councilor to contest and Win in the area on the opposition party ticket immediately after the formation of the party.
In presence was his son Rev Fr Austen Christmas, politicians mainly from FDC and Go Foward, business operators and many well wishers from Kanungu.
