Allan Senyonga aka Uncle Adam, a Ugandan living in the US southern state of Texas has died after collapsing in a bathroom at the Dallas Fort Worth (DFW) international airport.
His death was reportedly pronounced by medical staff at a nearby hospital on Friday.
eadm.news, which publishes news about East Africans living in the diaspora, quoted family sources as saying that Senyonga had just dropped a passenger at the airport, went to the bathroom, threw up and collapsed.
The cause of Senyonga’s death was not known yet pending a post mortem report by Baylor Hospital, where his body lay after he was pronounced dead in the facility’s emergency room Friday evening.
A family member told mourners who had gathered at his residence in Fort Worth that medics tried to resuscitate him, but failed.
“His abrupt death has ruined this address of joy,” his wife Betty Senyonga, 30, lamented.
His death comes a few weeks after another Ugandan was shot dead by police in US.
Plans to fly Senyonga’s body back home are still under way.
