President Yoweri Museveni has appointed Lt. Gen. Muhoozi Keinerugaba as the commander of the Special Forces Command – SFC.
It should be remembered that Muhoozi was the founding commander of the elite force and he left the position in 2017 after he was appointed as the Senior Presidential adviser in charge of special operations.
He was later be replaced by Brig. Paul Loketch who has been leading the force that is charged with among others, providing security to the President and the first family. Brig. Loketch has now been named the new Deputy Inspecetor of Police (D/IGP) replacing Maj. Gen Sabiiti Muzeeyi who has been sent back to UPDF General Headquarters (GHQ) for redeployment.
Martin Okoth Ochola has managed to retain his position as IGP as Gen. Birungi is set to deputise Gen. Muhoozi in the SFC.
