President Museveni announced that the government intends to set up countrywide industrial zones in sub-counties during a graduation over the weekend at Namboole Stadium.
This was during a graduation ceremony where he passed out 9000 graduated from the Sseninde Foundation.
These obtained skills in catering and hotel hospitality, tailoring, hairdressing, bakery, piggery, making paper bags and making charcoal from garbage in the foundation that was started by Rosemary Seninde, the woman Member of Parliament for Wakiso District and State minister for Education.
These zones are to enable citizens easily access training and support in organized ways.
The President urged Ugandans and Africans to embrace commercial agriculture and product value addition to reduce on the amount of money injected into importation.
He applauded Sseninde for the great work and pledged Shs500 million.
