MTN MoMo Launches “The Power to Be More” Campaign in Greater Central Uganda

MTN MoMo Uganda Ltd has officially launched its impactful campaign, “The Power to Be More”, in the Greater Central region. The regional rollout was marked by a vibrant event held at the MTN service center in Nyendo, Masaka Town.

This initiative marks a significant step in MTN MoMo’s ongoing mission to empower individuals, families, and businesses through simple, secure, and accessible digital financial solutions. The Masaka event follows a national campaign launch in Kampala the previous week and reflects MTN MoMo’s commitment to enhancing financial inclusion and widening the reach of key fintech services across the country.

By introducing this campaign, MTN MoMo is reinforcing its position not only as a mobile money service but also as a strategic partner in promoting economic development and personal advancement.

During the Masaka event, Patrick Tusiime, the Central Region Commercial Head for MTN Uganda, highlighted the campaign’s importance to residents and enterprises in the region.

“Today, we bring The Power to Be More, closer to the people of Masaka and the entire Greater Central region. From today, I want you to think of your phone not just as a communication device, but as your bank, your investment platform, your insurance agent, and your gateway to the global economy. That is what ‘The Power to Be More’ is all about,” he said.

Tusiime further explained that the campaign seeks to provide all Ugandans with the financial tools they need to succeed and secure a better future.

With over 16 years as Uganda’s leading financial services provider, MTN MoMo has grown into a comprehensive fintech platform. Its services now include daily transactions through Pay with MoMo, access to credit and savings, investment options via Yinvesta, and insurance products under Cover by MoMo. In addition, the Market by MoMo e-commerce solution supports local entrepreneurs by connecting them to a broader marketplace.

This regional rollout aligns with MTN’s Ambition 2025 strategy, which focuses on accelerating Uganda’s digital progress. It also supports key goals under the National Development Plan III and Vision 2040, both of which prioritize digital transformation as a critical driver of economic growth.
