The European Union MUST stop frustrating the EACOP and let the Independent Countries of Uganda 🇺🇬 and Tanzania 🇹🇿 address the internal processes.
Why is this important?
African countries must be allowed to exploit their natural resources for Socio-economic transformation and economic independence.
More to it, the petition seeks to rally the common Ugandan to voice their discontent against what is seen as political and economic intervention of the European Union in Uganda and Tanzania affairs.
The EACOP project has created hundreds of thousands of jobs, it’s transforming the lives of the people in the affected areas and imparting the much needs 21st century skills are required in the job market to the youth.
There could be challenges like any other project of such magnitude but those can be and are being addressed by the stakeholders on the project and therefore doesn’t call for the intervention of the European Union. African solutions to African problem.
A careful scrutiny of the reasons given by proponents of StopEACOP campaign also exposes forgeries and fabrications to paint a worse picture than what is actually on ground.
