Top NRM Officials Pay Courtesy Visit to Mutebile’s Family

A team of top officials from the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM) on Monday paid a courtesy visit to the family of the former Governor of the Bank of Uganda, the late Prof. Emmanuel Tumusiime Mutebile in Kabale district.

Mutebile who was Uganda’s longest-serving governor died January in a Nairobi hospital due to complications related to diabetes.

The team which was led by NRM secretary general Richard Todwong comprised NRM electoral commission chairperson Dr Tanga Odoi, the party’s deputy national treasurer, Jacqueline Kyatuheire, the director of communications, Emmanuel Dombo, and was received by the Kabale Resident District Commissioner, Godfrey Nyakahuma.

The team laid a wreath on Mutebile’s grave in honour of the great work he did for the country.

The mission by the NRM officials in Kigezi sub-region is part of the countrywide series that was launched by the party aimed at galvanising cohesion in the party and ensuring smooth working relations between the party secretariat and the grassroots structures.
