Minister Ruth Nankabirwa Set To Showcase Uganda’s Oil Wealth In Dubai

African governments lie at the core of Africa Oil Week and at this year’s event, according to organisers, is expected to attract over 65 Ministers, Commissioners, Regulators and NOC CEOs. Energy minister Ruth Nankabirwa will showcase Uganda’s oil opportunities at the event expected to attract investors.
20 Ministers of Energy, Hydrocarbons and Petroleum, together with their geophysical partners and NOCs, will present their countries’ national energy strategies, investment opportunities and prospective assets at the event that runs from November 8-11, 2021.

“The exclusive National Energy Showcase sessions are a rare opportunity to gain an in-depth and holistic view of a country’s energy sector and investment in-roads. And with all key stakeholders in one place, this is something you can only experience in-person at Africa Oil Week,” organisers say.

Other ministers expected at the event are; Aïssatou Sophie Gladima -Minister of Petroleum & Energy (Senegal), Thomas Camara Minister of Petroleum, Energy & Renewable Energies (Côte d’Ivoire), Matthew Opoku Prempeh -Minister of Energy (Ghana) and Dr. Koang Tutlam, State Minister of Mines, Petroleum & Natural Gas (Ethiopia)

Others are; Abdesselam Ould Mohamed Saleh- Minister of Petroleum, Mines & Energy (Mauritania), Bruno Jean Richard Itoua- Minister of Hydrocarbons (Republic of the Congo) and Budimbu Ntubuanga -Minister of Hydrocarbons (Democratic Republic of the Congo).

The Petroleum Authority of Uganda (PAU) is among several national oil regulators and companies expected to participate at the event.
