Popular Reddy K. Venkateshwar is nursing emotional wounds and intense stress following the mega operation by the National Environment and Management Authority (NEMA) early this week that has left dozens behind bars.
News reaching our desk indicates that Reddy empire was brought into shambles after law enforcement operation nabbed a gang of men hired by the Indian tycoon backfilling a wetland in Luzira, a Kampala suburb situated next to lake Victoria.
In the operation, Reddy’s immediate alley and contractor was arrested in a move that got Reddy off guard, the man who is on record bragging how he owns a land tittle in Lake Victoria, an internationally protected water body.
Reddy the owner of Sumadhura Technologies Ltd has redirected his efforts to trying to bribing NEMA officials in vain and by press time, it has been confirmed that court proceedings are now on and his fate is soon.
“ You know Reddy has always undermined the law, we had sent numerous warnings but he was so adamant. Always bragging about his connections but this time we have reduced him to a mere spectator as enforcement officers arrested his staff and trucks that we involved in the illegal act.” An officer at NEMA narrated to this investigative website.

It should be noted that Reddy has for some time been unmasked and exposed as a mere propagandist that portrays a picture that he never is, just to scare and cheat the underprivileged.
He was recently on the spot for plotting to frustrate and grab land from one Eng. Kisembo who runs a Marine institute on the Shores of Lake Victoria. It’s said that Kisembo’s troubles started a while back when he got into an arrangement with Mr. Reddy for joint development of the institute.
The transaction type changed and was now a sale of part of the land between 2014 and 2015. He needed this money for development of the land, and unfortunately Mr, Reddy ended up stealing and extra one acre of land. Reddy claimed that the additional land was taken up to create a public road which is untrue.
Negotiations have been on-going to resolve the matter and in December 2020, the two parties agreed to conduct a fresh survey of the land. To Eng. Kisembo’s surprise, Mr. Reddy started backfilling the land that is under dispute, taking advantage of the financially weak retired Engineer.
