In a bid to avert the spread of the novel Coronavirus that has rampaged the whole world and left many dead even in Uganda, the government has suspended all end of year parties for government agencies.
The Permanent Secretaty to the Treasury, Patrick Ocailap cited expenditure pressures as part of the reason for the cancelling of these much anticipated parties.
According to the letter, all government agencies were also ordered not to male Christmas cards, diaries, calendars, or buying of any gifts or humpers.
