Just moments after Vision Group Chief Executive Officer Robert Kabushenga announced that a staffer at the company had tested positive for Covid-19, news has surfaced that a staffer at another media house, NTV Uganda has tested positive for coronavirus.
NTV has not yet released a statement though.
The Ministry of Health has cautioned journalists to observe Covid-19 prevention guidelines to the dot while going about their work.
“Dear Journalists, Please take caution and observe Health Ministry preventative measures,” said the Ministry publicist, Emmanuel Ainebyoona on Monday.
“The level of complacency among those covering the various activities/events is very high. It is unfortunate the two media houses have since registered COVID-19 cases.”
Relatedly, the minister for Transport Gen Katumba Wamala has warned that public transport could be banned if taxi operators fail to observe the standard operating put in place.
