The Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) Board of Directors has this evening confirmed the appointment of Abel Kagumire as the Commissioner Customs.
Kagumire replaces Dickson Kateshumbwa alias Katesh who resigned in May to over unclear circumstances.
Kagumire, a senior official at URA has been acting in the position for nearly three months.
Among the others confirmed is Richard Kariisa as Commissioner Corporate Services and John Tinka as Assistant Commissioner Large Taxpayer’s Office
This appointments will take effect on September 1, 2020.
