The People Power Movement has been overwhelmed by the number of applicants vying for different positions, according to the pressure group leader Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine.
“I am grateful to the thousands of you who have come to pick your forms from our offices, your different areas and those who are filling online,” Bobi Wine said on Friday.
“This is gratifying to us. Like we have always said, we need to fill these positions right from L.C.1 to President.”
He said overwhelmed by the numbers, the Election Management Committee is extending the deadline for picking and submitting forms by two weeks to Friday 31st July, 2020.
Among those who have picked People Power forms include Stella Nyanzi who is vying for Kampala Woman MP and Nasser Ntege Ssebagala who wants to return to the seat of Kampala Lord Mayor.
