Following the news that two of National Resistance Movement (NRM) Senior staff members at the party Secretariat tested positive for Covid19, the party has put in place measures to limit exposure of the rest of the people accessing the offices.
Rogers Mulindwa the party spokesman revealed in a statement this afternoon that an urgent meeting had been conducted between the Secretariat top management and the National Incident Management team from the Health Ministry led by Dr Monica Musenero to decide on the way forward
“After a thorough analysis of the risk and exposure of members of this office, two staff have been taken under isolation and 17 others designated as high risks have been put under institutional quarantine for 14 days. Starting tomorrow (Thursday), there is going to be strict observance of the SOPs to minimise exposure and risk,” he said
Mulindwa added that the entire premises will undergo disinfection and all staff who didn’t test on Monday will have to undergo COVID 19 tests on Thursday.
