Police Receive Computers, Scanners and Printers From DOtt Services Uganda

The police Directorate of Criminal Investigations has received over six computers, scanners and printers from Dott Service Uganda as the construction company marks 25 years of existence.

The machines were officially handed over to the Deputy Director Criminal Investigations Joseph Obwona on behalf of the Director CID at the Directorates  headquarters in Kibuli.

Obwona thanked the company for empowering the police with equipment that will be useful in investigations and to better, and streamline the work of Police.

“On behalf of the Director CID, we want to thank you for this donation. Most of our systems are still manual and cannot cope with the current crime trends,” Obwona said.

He added, “we have so many police stations and police posts where investigations are carried out but lack technology advancement.”

Police still stores cases and other information on paper in box files across the country, adds Obwona. Many people continue to complain of missing case files.

Kazoora Robert the compliance and Relationships manager at Dott Services  said that it is this and many other issues that have led them to donate the equipment to police..

“We hope this equipment will go a long way to help police in investigations and storage of information,” Kazoora says. “Police has always been there to help us when faced with challenges and we cannot thank them enough,” he added.
