Kanungu District Local Council has decried the unfair job distribution with some leaders saying most jobs are given to people in a particular Sub-county.
The matter was raised by Hon Kahungu Serina who represents Rutenga. This matter was however downplayed by the Member of Parliament for Kinkiikizi West Ruugi Kaberuka who is accused of influencing the district public service to appoint his brother (Brian Kaberuka) that now works as a Community Development officer of Nyanga sub-county.
The councilor of Rugyeyo Subcounty accused officials at the public service for favoring certain individuals and castigated the MP who had requested the council not to debate the matter as it would be shameful to the District if it is captured by Media.
The Deputy Speaker of the council Tibariba tasked the Chairperson to explain the matter of the unfair job distribution in the district.
The Chief Administrative Officer was equally tasked to explain the matter and regretted whatever is happening, adding that the public service is supposed to be impartial and fair.
