Another woman together with her baby has reportedly been killed at her residence in Kulambiro, a Kampala suburb where former Police Spokesman AIGP Felix Kaweesi was murdered.
The victim identified as Mutesi Jolly has been living in Adjumani district where she was working.
But after coming back to Kampala and picking her daughter from her aunt in Nansana, Mutesi and her daughter did not see the light of the next day as they were murdered at around 4 am.
Sources close to Mutesi say she will be buried in Fort portal tomorrow while her baby will be buried today in Masaka.
The news of Mutesi and her daughter’s death comes at a time security forces are entangled in investigations of several cases of kidnap and murder.
Yesterday, the police said they had arrested one of the prime suspects behind the kidnap and murder of social worker Maria Nagirinya and her driver, Ronald Kitayimbwa.
Nagirinya was kidnapped from the gate to her home in Lungujja-Busega, killed, and her body dumped in Mukono district.
Addressing a press conference this morning, Fred Enanga, the police spokesman said that three prime suspects that orchestrated the kidnap were picked Sunday night by a joint team of investigators comprising of the Police’s Criminal Investigations Directorate (CID), Chieftaincy of Military Intelligence (CMI) and the Internal Security Organisation (ISO).
