Unknown people have taken the war against UTL and its management to another level after doctoring an ISO report, in which they claimed that officials at the telecom company have been stealing and selling network infrastructure in Kenya.
This website has established that the report which some Ugandans had started circulating is fake and unfounded but was only aimed at maligning UTL and its management. In fact, some news sites that had fallen for the report have since pulled down their stories after establishing that the report was fake.
The fake report which falls short of basic official reports claimed that the management of UTL has been overseeing the theft of network cables across the country, adding that UTL bosses had been reluctant to follow up the cases.
The forged ISO report comes amid efforts by some individuals in government to have Mr. Bemanya Twebaze out of his position as the UTL administrator.
