Makerere University is set to establish a research and innovation center aimed at commercializing Innovations born out of Uganda’s oldest University.
This was revealed at a sensitization on Research and Innovation at Makerere University Main Hall.
This, according to observers is a great vision for the University, country, and continent at large.
The vision is all thanks to Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Finance and Administration Prof William Bazeyo who has mobilized at least Shs30B from the government.
More money is expected from the government and other development partners to fulfill the initiative.
Dr Roy William Mayega will coordinate the implementation of this fund.
