The Inter-party Organizations dialogue has started at Speke Resort Munyonyo.

This provides a platform of the different parties in Uganda that have different ideologies to amicably engage in discussions of issues that affect the citizens of this country.

The event has happened despite the decision of the Forum for Democractic Change not to be participants this year.

The President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni is in attendance as the chairman of National Resistance Movement Party which is the ruling party.

The other political parties that are participating are; Uganda Peoples Congress, Democratic Party, Justice Forum.

According to Norbert Mao, the absence of the FDC will inevitabely weaken the summit.

This opinion was further endorsed by the Secretary General for the National Resistance Movement party, Kasule Lumumba.

The essence of this annual summit is to discuss issues of common interest and it started in 2009.
