President Yoweri Museveni has donated 9 vehicles to the Kingdom of Busoga.

Two of the vehicles are for the Kyabazinga, His Highness Nadiope William, while the remainder are to be used by Busoga Kingdom Chiefs to help them in the running of the Kingdom’s day-to-day mobilization of the masses in various sectors for national development.

The hand-over ceremony that took place yesterday at State House, Entebbe, also saw a medical-ambulance vehicle donated to Bishop John Baptist Kaggwa of Masaka Diocese.

This is not the first time the President is donating cars to cultural or religious leaders.

Last year, President Museveni handed over eight modern agriculture tractors to three constituents, two kingdoms, two farmers and a peace initiative group in fulfillment of pledges he made two years ago during the Operation wealth creation campaign.

At that time, the beneficiaries included the Kyabazinga of Busoga, Isingiro County South Constituency represented by Hon. Alex Byarugaba Bakunda, Usuk County, Katakwi represented by Hon. Peter Ogwang, Bukedea District represented by Woman MP Anita Among of FDC, a prominent farmer in Kasese, Kasenda, Abdul Mangati, the Royal Kingdom of Alur, the Family of the late Oboth-Ofumbi in Tororo and the Alinga Obongi Peace Initiative.
