Four members of the same family have died in a motor accident that happened on Sunday evening in Wobulenzi Township along Kampala-Luweero Highway.
The accident involved a Vitz registration number UAS 163T and a fuso truck registration number UAR 162G.
It happened at around 4:30PM, according to a statement from the Savanah regional Police Spokesperson, Paul Kangave.
The cause of the accident was attributed to the carelessness of the driver of the Vitz.
Kangave said the driver of the Vitz attempted to overtake before realizing an oncoming vehicle. He tried to brake but it was too late.
The Vitz was coming from Luweero to Kampala while the fuso truck was coming from the opposite direction.
All the occupants of the Vitz were from the same family and they all perished.
The deceased includere Florence Nankumbi, 28, Patience Najuma, 28, Richard Lule, 30, and Isaac Mbogo, 32.
