Close sources to the family of veteran DP leader Paul Kawanga Ssemogerere have said that the former presidential candidate is recovering steadily after he collapsed during prayers at Rubaga Cathedral.
The 86 year old fell from his chair before he was rushed to hospital for medical attention.
In a video captured by NTV, Mzee Ssemogerere is seen unconscious as six men carry him out of the church.
It is not clear if the DP leader was sick or not.
Ssemogerere contested for the country’s Presidency in 1996, losing to President Yoweri Museveni. Ssemwogerere has since retired from active politics after 25 years of active practice.
A close friend however just posted on social media that the veteran politician has regained his consciousness and is able to hold a conversation.
