All is set for the Kampala Geopolitics Conference scheduled to take place on Friday 26th and Saturday 27th October 2018 at Makerere University.
This follows the signing of an MoU between the Vice Chancellor of Makerere University-Prof. Barnabas Nawangwe and the Ambassador of France-H.E Stéphanie Rivoal.
The Kampala Geopolitics Conference will bring on board Makerere University Professors, researchers, staff, students, Ugandans and regional experts as well as researchers from France and Germany to engage in interactive debates.
The Conference will provide a platform for researchers from France and Germany to interact and network with their counterparts in East Africa.
Scheduled to start on Friday 26th October 2018 from 09:00am to 5:15pm, followed by a Concert at the Makerere University Freedom Square from 5:30pm to 08:00pm, and running up to Saturday 27th October 2018 from 09:00am up to 5:30pm, the Kampala Geopolitics Conference will include formal round tables, interactive and creative discussions in an open space where participants will present their ideas for discussion using the most convenient formats.
The Kampala Geopolitics Conference will provide a platform for building strong networks of expertise from France, Germany and Africa as well as free flow of ideas and open discussions in a creative yet informative way; contributing to the generation of knowledge.
There will be performances by music star Jose Chameleone and Djs Sleek Staurt and Roja.
There will also be a session for poems, dances and other forms of cultural entertainment.
