Kojo Anan the son of the late former UN Boss, Kofi Atta Annan, struggled to hold back his tears as he paid emotional tribute to his departed father during the 73rd UN General Assembly in New York.
Kojo in his tribute said his father was a good man and always welcoming to everyone he met.
According to Kojo Annan who had earlier cried at seeing his father’s body, their father spoke the truth and was very peace-loving.
Annan died on the morning of 18 August 2018 in Bern, Switzerland, at the age of 80 after a short illness. António Guterres, the current UN Secretary-General, said that “Kofi Annan was a champion for peace and a guiding force for good.” He was buried on September 13.
