Dr Paul Kawanga Ssemogerere, a former leader of the Democratic Party in Uganda for over 25 years and one of the main players in Ugandan politics has tipped Kyadondo East MP Robert Kyagulanyi to be the next President of Uganda.

This was during the DP’s reunion rally at the Masaka liberation square. The meeting was attended by several opposition politicians including Gen Mugisha Muntu, Paul Mwiru, Mukasa Mbidde and an MP from neigbouring Tanzania.

Dr Ssemogerere said that he worked with Bobi Wine’s grandfather, adding that the singer possesses some of the good leadership qualities from his grandfather.

“I know Bobi Wine better than many, I worked with his grandfather. He was a great man and Bobi inherited that quality. Bobi, I follow what you do, you haven’t digressed, keep it up. People need to know, if Bobi says ‘give way’, you better do so’,” Dr Ssemogerere said.

Dr Ssemogererere who contested and lost to President Museveni in the 1996 presidential elections said that Ugandans should put their trust in Bobi Wine to cause change in Uganda and help them solve their problems.
