Mityaana Municipality MP Francis Zaake, who was blocked at Entebbe International Airport last week has finally been cleared  to fly to India for treatment.

Zaake who faces, among other charges, treason, assault and damage of property has been released on police bond and is currently on his way to Entebbe Airport ahead of his trip.

His clearance to travel also follows an examination by doctors from Mulago National Referral Hospital. He had earlier refused to be assessed and police had denied him permission to travel. Government wanted a report about the legislator’s medical condition before his travel.

Bobi Wine who was allegedly beaten with Zaake is already in the US for treatment having been cleared last week.
