Health Specialists Arrive in Gulu Prison to Treat Bobi Wine

A team led by Dr Joseph Andama, a specialized doctor attached to Mulago National Referral Hospital is in Gulu prisons to give treatment to Kyadodno East MP Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine.

The team is comprised of among others psychiatrists and specialists in the treatment of bones and fractures.

They will be stationed at Gulu prisons, where the Bobi and other suspects are detained.

Bobi Wine was remanded on Thursday after the state dropped gun charges against him.

He was re-arrested shortly after being acquitted and charged with treason before a Grade One Magistrate Court that was presided over by Mr Yunus Ndiwalana.

Meanwhile the Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Mr Jacob Oulanyah has said Bobi Wine’s kidneys are all fine adding that his health is steadily improving.

According to Mr Oulanyah, the tests that were conducted at St Mary’s Hospital Lacor on Thursday by a team of medics who were led by Dr Joseph Andama, the Uganda Prisons head of Medical Department, indicate that Bobi Wine’s kidneys were functioning well.
