The Katikkiro of Buganda Charles Peter Mayiga has condemned the torture of supects in the hands of security agencies, urging government to produce Hon Zaake and Hon Kyagulanyi (Bobi Wine) in court.

“I appeal to the government to present Hon Francis Zaake and Hon Robert Kyagulanyi also known as Bobi Wine and all the others arrested to a competent court of law with incontestable evidence and tried for any crimes they may have committed,” said Mr Mayiga in a statement on Friday evening.

Those who have visited Kyagulanyi say the singer turned politician was tortured and that he can hardly speak, stand, eat or walk by himself.

“I appeal to all security agencies to desist from acts of torturing people in their custody. I appeal to them to respect the dignity and the human rights of those in custody,” Charles Peter Mayiga, the Katikkiro
of The Kingdom of Buganda said.
