Kyadondo East MP Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine will appear in court tomorrow, as confirmed by Uganda Human Rights Commission.

The politician did not appear in court today because doctors were treating his wounds sustained during his arrest and detention.

TheUgandan has exclusively learnt that the singer cum politician sustained bodily injuries and that he cannot be allowed to be seen in public or by family members and fellow leaders before they heal.

This is not a surprise after photos of a tortured Francis Zaake leaked yesterday. Zaake is the MP for Mityana Municipality and he was among those arrested with Bobi Wine.

Our highly placed source says that Bobi Wine is currently detained at Makindye military barracks although he has been receiving treatment from Bombo military hospital.

Bobi Wine was arrested on Monday night together with other MPs including Gerald Karuhanga (Ntungamo Municipality), Paul Mwiru (Jinja East), Michael Mabikke (former Makindye West MP) and Kassiano Wadri (Arua Municipality MP-elect).

Their arrest followed the attack on President Museveni’s convoy during the Arua Bye- elections where Bobi Wine was among the lead campaigners for Arua Municipality MP Elect Hon. Kassiano Wadri.
