The woman Member of Parliament for Amolatar, Hon. Amule Doreen Ruth has said that the detained Kyadondo East MP Robert Kyagulanyi is out of danger and that he credits the treatment and care given to him by the UPDF doctors in Makindye.

Amule is also the chairperson of the defense and international affairs committee of Parliament to which Bobi Wine belongs.

“I am just from visiting Hon. Kyagulanyi as Chairperson Defense Committee. He is a member of my committee. He is fine talking well, eating laughing and very humorous, and crediting doctors of UPDF as being the best doctors ever known to him.

She added that Bobi Wine is ready to appear in court on Thursday.

“His children will visit him on Tuesday. He says he is out of any danger. No cause for alarm. Hon. Amule Doreen Ruth Amolatar chairperson defense and international affairs.

“I would like to confirm that as a parliamentary commission, today, I and my fellow commissioner Hon Arinaitwe Rwakajara sought an appointment with the Chief of Defence Forces to go and pay a courtesy visit to Hon Robert Kyagulanyi (Bobi Wine) and indeed we traveled with Hon Doreen Amule, chairperson of committee on Defence and Internal Affairs, Hon Ibrahim Kasozi and Hon Anita Among to Makindye Military Barracks,” said Peter Ogwang (Usuk) another MP that visited the singer.

He added that: “Contrary to social media alarming reports that Hon Kyagulanyi is in dire state, we found him in a better state than what is painted on social media. Hon Kyagulanyi hugged and smiled at us, talked freely with us. He commended the UPDF doctors for taking good care of him medically. Am not shy to say that indeed he has a few bruises on his face but he is in a good state,” Ogwang posted on his social media platforms after the visit.

“I appeal to the general public to desist from spreading alarming propaganda and false information about the health of Hon Kyagulanyi and Hon Francis Zaake who is also out of danger after he was put off the ICU. On 23rd August, the general public will be able to see Hon Kyagulanyi as he returns to Court,” Ogwang said.
