Uganda’s communications regulator Uganda Communications Commission has suspended broadcaster NBS Television’s broadcasting license for 60 days.

According to a statement released by the commission Thursday, the licence has been revoked as a punitive measure following perpetual breach of minimum broadcasting standards.

Citing the “strong language use by Mr Mirundi, UCC states that NBS TV management have ignored several warnings from the regulatory body.

This comes hours after former Presidential Press Secretary Tamale Mirundi lost his cool and attacked Mt Simon Muyanga Lutaaya, a TV host of the Tuesday morning show dubbed “One on one with Tamale Mirundi.”
