Oyam NRM boss imprisoned for stealing piglets and chickens

The National Resistance Movement party Publicity Secretary for Oyam District Philips Ogile has been arrested and remanded to Alebtong prison after pleading guilty to allegations of robbery.

Mr Ogile also pleaded guilty to assault before Apala grade1 Magistrate Mr Simon Oddo on Friday.

The magistrate remanded him to Alebtong prison until May 26 when he will reappear in court for sentencing.

The District Police Commander Alebtong, Mr Geoffrey Bagonza said that  the accused went to the home of one of their clan member of Omola-col in Abako Sub County claiming that he had been instructed to take punitive action on the clan member over allegation of dodging clan meetings.

Ogole however forcefully grabbed a bicycle from the clan member’s house, 5 chicken and an unspecified number piglets before running away with them.
