It is now clear that the Kayunga Woman Member of Parliament and the Junior of Information and Communications Technology Aidah Nantaba is not a joking subject like Ugandan kick boxer Mosese Golola would put it.

Ms Nantaba again showed her true colours on Monday when she nearly grabbed the neck of Bbaale County MP George Kumama.

Residents had anticipated getting some food relief from the Office of the Prime Minister (OPM) but they instead got free drama from the legislators who caused commotion at the Kayunga District headquarters on Monday.

This happened after Ms Nantaba attempted to seize relief rice given to Mr Kumama by OPM accusing him of distributing the food without informing her as the district woman MP of the area.

Ms Nantaba then mobilized a group of youth to load the rice on a truck insisting that the food must be returned to where it had been picked and proper arrangements made. This caused ongoing bickering and chaos for about an hour.

This prompted the district police commander to deploy anti riot officers restored calm and blocked the food distribution process.

This I not the first time Ms Nantaba is involved in controversial acts.

In February this year, Ms Nantaba was involved in a bitter argument with junior lands Minister Persis Namuganza over a microphone.

This followed Ms Nantaba’s lengthy speech which prompted Ms Namuganza to tell her to wind up.

Ms Nantaba then accused Ms Namuganza of behaving like an LC1 chairman of a village rather than a minister.

The meeting had been called by Lands Ministry and the Cabinet Minister Betty Amongi was in attendance. The main agenda was to forge a way forward on the rampant evictions in Buganda.
