The ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM) Jinja District Vice Chairperson Majidu Dhikusooka has said that nobody can fire him from the party.

In an exclusive interview with TheUgandan, he said that he does not understand the genesis of the rumours.

“That is wolokoso and cheap talk, nobody can fire me from the NRM party,” said Dhikusooka.

On Tuesday, the district general secretary for the party William Kato Kaziba noted that Dhikusooka was dismissed from the party after the investigations pinned him for fraud.

He is accused among others for taking a Sh20m bribe from one Brenda Gimbo who had received sh110m from President Museveni who doubles as NRM chairman. It is alleged that Dhikusooka asked Gimbo to hand over Sh20m from the President’s donation. Gimbo received the money for treatment in India.

Kaziba further allege that Dhikusooka embezzled Sh5m he got from the party’s secretary general during campaigns.

Dhikusooka said that he not received any communication of his firing and stressed that before the end of this week he will hold a press conference to put the facts straight.
