MUBS disown murdered Kiruhura girl Twijukye

Makerere University Business School has released a statement about student who was found decomposing in Namanve on Friday January 13, 2017 and laid to rest over the weekend in Rwemitoma, Kiruhura District.

Days after her murder, the relatives went to push for justice for 23-year-old Enid Twijukye. Police mounted a search and arrest the number one suspect who was her boyfriend, a one Dr Brian Bagenda in Jinja who confessed to murdering her out of passion.

Now, the Nakawa based Makerere University Business School says in a new statement that Twijukye was not a registered student at the university as reported in the media and social media platforms.

MUBS spokesperson Peter Odoki says, “The office of the Dean of students has Investigated the allegation and found out that the above named was admitted to MUBS in the AY 2015/16, Reg No. 15/U/19384/EVE to pursue a Bachelors Degree in International Business (BIB).”

She was given an admission but register with the school to become a bonafide student but a source privy to the investigation says she had instead taken up a job as a salesgirl in one of the big supermarkets at Lugogo, Kampala.
